Lavender wands

From the lavender harvest in my front garden ~ one of my most relaxing... and time consuming pastime! Lavender wands I like to call them...some woven with simple ribbons, some with intricately embroidered brocade and jacquard  ribbons. The loose flower heads have found their way into muslin sachets and Toile de Jouy sachets...
With my dear friend Kathy, I have also attempted lavender jelly, some of it laced with fresh rosemary...perfect on warm toast...
End of the harvest now...time to prune them back...

Tempted, very soon I will be re-opening my Etsy online shop...
Stay tuned!

Petanque, Paella, Plates, Pagoda, Pleasure

Another perfect summer moment… a gathering of friends, colors and feasting… with all the  elements of pure Pleasure, delicious Paellas, Pétanque aka Bocce Ball, colorful Plates, under the Pagoda arbor… all of it in gratefulness, and all of it glorious in the light and shade of a late summer afternoon.

My brother and dear friend Lidija "competed" for the best open fire Paella ~
No contest, truly ~ they were both delicious, and oh, so good for the soul.
              Bon Appétit!

Summer bounty

Hmmmm...first blog, first post ~ should I start with this? Summer bounty on the terrace ~ Provence in my very own backyard; roses in full bloom, the local farmer's market harvest ready to be eaten...  glass of rosé anyone?

I do believe you should join me for lunch... It's good for the soul.
